William Sparks Obituary

William Sparks

1980 - 2021

William Sparks was born on August 21, 1980 to his parents, William Elza Sparks and Melissa Yvonne Smith.  He returned home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 23, 2021.

William grew up in Springtown, Texas and was very proud to be a life long Texan.  He played High School football at Springtown and grew up idolizing Peyton Manning.  He had a big family and grew up very "old school" in his values and ways.  He loved being a very huge part of his family's life, where he loved being the life of the party or just cooking a great meal for them...Thus his nickname as "The Grill Master".  He was so funny that he was often a pain in everyone's back side but no one minded.  As one hug from him could cure any problem.  He truly was the funniest guy ever.  Words can't even begin to explore the depth of William.  He was one of the most generous, cool, bad ass, confident, hardcore, goofy, loving and selfless men that has ever walked on this earth.

There is often a lot of adjectives that can describe a person and their life and we have used many to describe my Dad, but, the adjective that probably best describes William is PASSIONATE!  He was passionate about everything in life.  He was passionate about his friends. He never met a stranger and was friends with everyone.  All of his friends were his "brothers".  My Dad LOVED MUSIC and was passionate about this love.  He played the drums and the guitar and if you asked him, he thought he could sing too. His favorite band was Clutch.

My Dad was most passionate about being a father and a grandpa.  They meant everything to him and he was incredibly proud of them.  He loved spending time with them.  He would take them fishing but was always the guy who just enjoyed the boat ride.  He would share his passions of movies and all things star wars with them.  He was quite a Star Wars freak.  It really did not matter what Dad was doing with us...it was just special.  Dad loved sharing his vast knowledge on history and told me his dream job was of being a history teacher instead of being a window installer forever with John.  For which he was eternally grateful, as he loved learning to master this trade.

William is survived by his children: Samantha Nicole Sparks, Lilly Danielle Sparks and Caleb Wade Sparks; His siblings; Christopher Ray Sparks and Shane Michael Sparks; and his grandchild; Adrian Uriel Torres.
