William Andrew Morley III, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2021.
Bill was born on October 4, 1952 in Peekskill, NY to the late William Andrew Morley Jr. and Barbara Keesler Morley. He was a genuinely loved father, grandfather, Pops, and friend to all. Bill took pride in his job as Mayor of Pelican Bay and served with a compassionate heart and dedication each day. He was a people person who enjoyed the company of others and could spend hours sharing stories with anyone who would take the time to listen. Bill was never one to back down from a challenge leading him to becoming a “jack of all trades.” In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking, gardening, and doing yard work. Bill’s truest passion was music. He was very musically inclined and could play many different instruments ranging from guitars, drums, harmonicas, and everything in between. Above all, Bill cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He instilled in his children that family was not defined by blood, but by who never left your side. Bill’s smiling face and charitable heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, William Morley Sr and Barbara Keesler Morley; and sister, Lois J. Morley Haass.
Bill will be deeply and lovingly missed by his daughters, Brenda Daughtry and Tamara White; grandchildren, Raven Hardy, Erin Gilbert, Kayla White, Brandi White, Lon White III, and Justin White; and an entire community that became his family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor, NY Wednesday, March 23, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
The family would like to invite everyone to Pelican Bay City Hall for a reception following the funeral ceremony on Tuesday.
