Ward Stephen “Stevie” Blackmon

1957 – 2023

Ward Stephen Blackmon went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on June 24, 1957, to his parents Coy and Louise Blackmon in Fort Worth, Texas.

Stevie graduated from Haltom High School in 1976. After his school years, he went on to work alongside his brothers in the family lawn and irrigation business.

Stevie was one of seven children to Coy and Louise, with five brothers and one sister.  Family was the most important thing to him. He exuded love with his acts of kindness, big bear hugs, and contagious smile. Bringing joy to others was a true passion of Stevie’s.

Stevie was preceded in death by his father, Coy Blackmon; his mother, Louise Blackmon; and his sister, Sisie Blackmon.

Stevie is survived by his final love and former wife Carolyn Blackmon; his sons, Ronald Robinson and Terry Robinson; his daughter, Samantha Kennedy and her husband, Morgan; his brothers, Larry Blackmon and his wife, Brenda, Clinton Blackmon and his wife, Teresa, Michael Blackmon and his wife, Kara, Wallace Blackmon and his wife, Tila, Danny Blackmon and wife, Brenda; his grandchildren, Lesha Littlepage, Blake South, Raishell Taylor, Anthony Robinson, Mikhaela Robinson, Hailey Robinson, Kasen Brown, and Peyton Kennedy; 9 great grandchildren; countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of friends.

To be loved by Stevie was to be truly blessed. He will be deeply missed by all, held forever in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, beginning at 2:00 P.M.
