Virgil Flowers

Virgil Flowers, 92, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2020.

A Graveside Service will be held at Boyd Cemetery on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM.

Virgil was born on March 6, 1928 in Montague County to the late B. and Nora Flowers.  He married the love of his life, Earlene, and together made a beautiful blended family.  Virgil was always working on different things to resell.  His weekends usually consisted of yard sales and flee markets.  Virgil also went to many auctions.  He was always looking for the best bargains.  Virgil was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and friend. 

Virgil reunites with his wife of 46 years, Earlene; parents; daughter, Patricia Flowers; step-daughter, Sheri Erwin; brothers, Jack Stevenson and BF Flowers; and sisters, Inez Rowan, Rose Durham and Violet Carndeson, in heaven.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Donna Porter; step-children, Darryl Erwin (Kathleen), Karen Long (Mark), Tony Erwin, Linda Humphries (Doug), and Randall Erwin (Karen); sisters, Faye Nivens and Mary Chadwick; and a host of loving grandchildren.
