Vicki Lynn Chapman
August 8, 1950- entered Heaven on May 24, 2021

Vicki Lynn Chapman was born to this earth in Henderson, TX. After a short battle with brain cancer, she left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 24, 2021 with her son and daughter by her side.
She was a graduate of Lancaster High School in 1968. She and her husband met at six years old and attended first grade together. They wed 14 years later, on August 12, 1970. They were married for 50 years.
Throughout high school, Vicki was an award-winning flute and piccolo player and repeatedly earned recognition at UIL. Fifteen years after graduating high school, her band director, Pete Rodriguez stated “this is the best flute and piccolo player I ever had.”
Vicki graduated from UNT in 1972 and began her 37-year teaching career in the Dallas ISD before moving to Garland ISD. She obtained her Master degree in Counseling from Texas A&M Commerce. She went on to become the counselor at Luna Elementary for 20 years before retiring in 2011.
Vicki loved all of her precious puppies of which there were many over the years. Her hobbies included researching her ancestry. Vicki was able to trace her roots all the way back to Scotland. She took great pride and joy in being a, “Mimi” to her granddaughter, Tynlie Chapman.
Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Aril Knott, and father, L.V. Knott. She is survived by her husband, Larry Chapman; daughter, DeAnn Chapman- Meador, and husband, Joseph Meador; son, Kevin Chapman, and wife, Amber Chapman; granddaughter, Tynlie Chapman; sister, Barbara Hampton; nephew, Barry Hampton; brother-in-law, Rick Chapman; sister-in-law, Sherrie Chapman; and her two puppies, Tiffany and Gracie.
