Sharon Jane Auvenshine, 72, of Azle, Texas passed away on October 5, 2021, in Decatur, Texas.
Graveside: 3 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at Azleland Cemetery.

Sharon was born to William and Frances Howeth on June 21, 1949. She married the love of her life, David Auvenshine, on February 5, 1971.
Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Azle High School and was a lifetime supporter of the Azle Hornets. While in high school, Sharon worked at Thompson’s Pharmacy & Grill. After graduation, she worked in the cash office at Buddie’s Supermarket in Fort Worth, then in the billing department at Tri County Electric. She began her career in banking at Carswell Federal Credit Union where she worked for 20 years until 1993. After leaving CFCU, she obtained her insurance license and was an agent with Allstate for 4 years until going to work in administration at UNT Health Science Center where she retired in 2010.
Sharon was very active in her neighborhood and was the Secretary of the Allyndale HOA. She loved flowers and working in her yard. After retirement, she became very involved in Wise County Antique Car Club and Decatur Swap Meet. Sharon and her husband, David, loved to travel and went to many places with their closest friends.
Sharon loved being a mom, but her biggest joy came when her granddaughter, Rylie, was born. She was so proud of her and being a MeMaw was the highlight of her life.
Sharon was preceded in death by husband, David Auvenshine; her son, Alan Auvenshine; parents, William and Frances Howeth; sisters, Bonnie Miller, and Donna Harris; granddaughter, Baylee Auvenshine.
Sharon is survived by her son, Jeffery Auvenshine and his wife, Jennifer of Azle; granddaughter, Rylie Auvenshine of Azle; sisters, Carol Dean-Powell of Paris, Texas and Reta Mendoza of Lakeworth; and a host of nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
