Roy Huckabay Obituary

Roy Lynn Huckabay, 63, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his home in Keller, TX.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, beginning at 8:00 AM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel followed by a Funeral Services at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Azleland Cemetery.

Roy was born October 9, 1957 in Sumter, South Carolina to Roy Lee and Lucille Huckabay.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that could be done outside in the fresh air.  Roy was a “jack of all trades” and could build, repair, or make almost anything.  He was skilled with a saw and a master at designing and laying wood floors.  Roy also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys with his sons. He considered himself lucky being able to call his brother and sister his best friends. Some of Roy’s favorite memories include salmon fishing in Alaska and most recently, deep sea fishing with his sons in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He always had a contagious smile on his face. Roy knew and accepted Jesus Christ into his life. Roy was the kind of man to give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his wallet.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who loved him so much.

Roy is preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Huckabay.

He is survived by his mother, Lucille Huckabay; brother, Roy Lee Huckabay (Jerri); sister, Sandy Bleeker (Paul); brother, Gary Huckabay (Kathy); sons, Mitch Huckabay (Elizabeth), Steven Huckabay, Cody Huckabay (Becky); and daughter, Cherice Cox (Brennan).  Roy will be missed by his five grandchildren, Emily and Grace Huckabay, and Sawyer, Saige, and Brooks Cox.
