Rodney "Rod" Wiltshire
1954 - 2023
Rod was born on January 30, 1954 in Grapevine, TX to James Edgar Wiltshire of Alvarado, TX and Mary Rose Keller-Wiltshire of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Rodney Wiltshire was a big-hearted man, who in his prime, worked hard, laughed honestly, and loved eternally. He played a major role in raising his brothers and sisters, whom he cherished
with all his heart. Fathered three awesome sons, whom he likewise cherished. Through mishaps and mistakes, he persevered with weighted shoulders, always willing to help in any way he could.
Rodney loved driving trucks and was good at his craft, never lacking to “pull his weight”. Always spoken well of and respected by those fortunate enough to work with him. When he wasn’t working, he loved to be with his family, eating, fishing, and telling old story’s of times past. He absolutely love being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dad you will be missed more than words can say.
Rodney Lee Wiltshire is survived by his sons, Rodney Lee Wiltshire Jr. and Nicholes David Wiltshire & wife, Jennifer Wiltshire; his significant other, Carolyn Wiltshire; Proud Grandpa to 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his brothers, Tommy & wife, Mary Wiltshire, Marty Wiltshire, Steve Wiltshire, Sammy Joe & wife, Connie Wiltshire, and Gerald & wife, Jennifer Wiltshire; his sister, Edna and wife, Shona Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in passing by his dad, James Edgar Wiltshire; his mom, Mary Rose Keller- Wiltshire; his brother, Bruce Wiltshire; and sister Shirley Wiltshire.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park immediately following the service.
