Throughout his lifetime, Robert worked tirelessly in construction, leaving behind a legacy of residences that stand as a testament to his dedication and skill. His devotion extended beyond the workplace, as he centered his entire life around his family, earning a reputation as a loving husband, a great father, and a doting grandfather.
Survived by his sons, Ray Smith, Eddie Lee Nixon, and Robert Lee Nixon Jr.; his daughter, Rebecca Clark; along with 23 grandchildren; two sisters – Debbie Knight and Judy Nixon – and two brothers, Jimmy and Gary Nixon, Robert's impact on the lives of those around him was immeasurable.
He faced the inevitable with the strength instilled in him by his Pentecostal upbringing, and his pride in his family was palpable. His late wife, Wanda Nixon, his sister Barbara Nixon, and brothers Danny and Richie Nixon welcomed him on the other side.
Beyond construction, Robert's passions included a love for cars and collecting model cars, showcasing his appreciation for craftsmanship. Known for his friendly and open nature, he never met a stranger, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
