On Thursday April 15th Robert Kurt Lemon, loving father of 3, passed away at the age of 76. Kurt was born on August 26, 1944 in Springfield, Illinois to Bob and Barbara Lemon. He was a graduate of Paschal High School and was active in the alumni organization. He attended Texas Tech University on a swimming scholarship.
He was an accomplished athlete, excelling in swimming which ultimately led him to the Junior Olympics. He loved to work with his hands and build things almost as much as he loved his family. His creativity and desire to build resulted in Kurt Lemon Construction Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being on the water. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend. Anyone who knew him, knew they could count on him. He loved to talk and laugh and always seemed to be in a good mood. He genuinely loved living life to the fullest and that could be felt by all around him. Although he accomplished much in his life, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Kurt will be missed by all who had the honor to know him and what he will be remembered for the most is his generous spirit, big smile, hearty laugh, and his huge heart.
Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Bob Lemon, and his mother Barbara Lemon. He is survived by his 3 children Melissa Braniff and husband John R. Jr. of Houston; Christina Coley and husband Anthony of Lakeway TX; Jeremy Robert Lemon and wife Mariella of Fort Worth TX.
