It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Robert Eugene "BJ" Hampton Jr. Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, BJ's journey touched the lives of many. He peacefully departed from us on August 21, 2023, in Decatur, Texas.

BJ was the cherished son of Robert Eugene Hampton and Roxanne A. Thompson - Hampton. He is survived by his loving parents, as well as his pride and joy, his son Robert Eugene Hampton III. BJ's memory lives on through his brother Randall Carlton, his sisters Ashley Vaughn and Helena Hampton, along with a host of extended family members and friends.

BJ's passions were as vibrant as his spirit. An ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he lived for the excitement of football. He excelled on the fields of Boyd High School, graduating in 2008, where he showcased his talents in both football and basketball. His son held a special place in his heart, and he embraced fatherhood with unwavering love and devotion.

BJ's spirituality was reflected in his baptism as a young adult, marking a significant milestone in his faith journey. He had a special affinity for low rider cars and enjoyed the serene moments spent swimming in his pool with his son.

A beacon of positivity, BJ was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His infectious happiness and loving nature endeared him to all who crossed his path.

A visitation to honor BJ's memory is scheduled at the Azle Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery, on Saturday, September 2, from 4 to 8 PM. This gathering is open to all who wish to celebrate the life of this remarkable individual.

As we reflect on BJ's life, let us remember the joy he brought, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind. May his spirit find eternal rest, and may his memory continue to inspire us all.
