Richard "Carl" Grubbs
April 16, 1964 - September 21, 2023

Mr. Grubbs was born the 16th of April, 1964 in Gladewater, Texas to Richard and Sondra. He passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his home in Azle.

Carl was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 25 years, Eugenia "Gina" Cherevias Grubbs; his sister, Michelle Rogers and husband Chris; his brother Gregory Kirk Rotramel; his oldest daughters, Amanda and Cheyenne Grubbs; youngest daughter, Cheryl Grubbs; and son, Shane Grubbs.

Carl spent his childhood in East Texas and graduated from Southwood High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Directly after graduation, Carl began work on a Seismic boat offshore. He drove trucks for many years and found his career in the oil field, where his passion for nitrogen operations and oil rigs continued for 23 years. Carl married Gina Cherevias May 16, 1998 in the Philippines. Carl and Gina met as pen pals in the newspaper and shared their love for many years. Carl never met a stranger.

Carl was a caring father and husband and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He left an impact on every person he came in contact with and leaves behind many heartfelt memories to cherish. The family would like to thank the countless doctors and nurses who cared for Carl in this past year, as well as family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
