In Loving Memory of Philip Lloyd Gallagher

1939 - 2024

Philip Lloyd Gallagher was born on May 22, 1939 in Seattle, WA to Lloyd and Jean (Larson) Gallagher. He spent most of his childhood in Richland, WA. Philip expressed his choice to serve the Lord in 1948, a choice he was faithful to all of his life. He graduated from high school in Seattle and later served for two years in the US Army. Philip entered the work of the ministry in January 1960 and spent 27 years in Washington, Alaska, and California. He left the ministry due to poor health in March,1987 and met his wife, Joy Clarke, two years later. They married on November 24, 1990 and moved to Juneau, AK where they both worked for the Alaska state government as administrative assistants until retirement.  Philip and Joy moved to Boise, ID in 2011 where Joy passed away on December 19, 2014. Philip moved to Azle, TX in November 2020 and passed away on April 14, 2024. During Philip’s whole life, he cared for others with a humble spirit in the love of Jesus. He is survived by his brother, Sterling (Candy) Gallagher and his sister, Laurel (Larry) Blair, his nephews – Greg (Tiffany) Gallagher, Owen (Lynda) Blair, Ryan (Amy) Blair and Shaun (Lori) Blair, his nieces – Heidi Johannessen, Meegan Benbow, Anne (Matt) Webb and Sarah Gallagher and their families and many friends.      

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM.
