Peggy Lee Penalber, beloved wife, mother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2021 after a courageous battle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 9:30 AM.
Peggy was born on August 26, 1951 in El Paso, Texas to Herman L. and Virgean M. Letchford Sanderson. She graduated from Eastwood High School where she was crowned Most Beautiful her Senior year. Peggy married the love of her life, Lorrel Penalber, on December 28, 1973. Her love and compassion for people drove her to pursue a nursing career, completing all parts of the program except for the Clinicals but her dedication to her family always came first. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she had a calling from Mother Mary. This calling guided her from pulling weeds to inspiring her to develop gardens around the church. She wanted a peaceful area where anyone could gather and pray.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Lorrel Penalber, children, Jason Lorrel Penalber, Sherry Lee Watkins, Theresa Lorraine Tolbert, and Sarah Lynette Penalber; siblings, David Craig Sanderson, and Theresa Ruth Sanderson; grandchildren, Kelsi Lane Friesen, Brandon Robert Penalber, Vanessa Rose Tolbert, Ivy Lee Morrison, Matthew Lorrel Tolbert, Dylan James Watkins, Wes Corbin Watkins, Elizabeth Jeanette Tolbert, Elena Lynne Watkins, and Jhett Lorrel Penalber; one great-grandson, Robin Penalber; and numerous church family members.
