Paul Cherryhomes Obituary

Paul Wayne Cherryhomes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2022.

Paul was born in Jacksboro, Texas on July 16, 1937 to Arthur Jasper and Darah Gregg Cherryhomes.  He married the love of his life ,Dorothy, and together grew a beautiful family.  Paul was a member of the Lonesome Prairie Band performing as a bass player.  When he wasn't playing, he and his wife spent many days traveling, showing the Canaries the two raised.  Paul was said to be a "Jack of All Trades" but his true talent showed most through his wood work.  He enjoyed gambling from time to time, but above all Paul dedicated himself to caring and providing for his family.

Paul has been reunited with his parents, and daughter, Mary Forbis, in God's Eternal Kingdom.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Dorothy Cherryhomes; children, Brian Cherryhomes, Yvette Forbis, Doug Forbis and wife, Ann, and Brice Cherryhomes and wife, Stefanie; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park beginning at 2:00 PM with visitation being held prior at 1:00 PM.
