Norma Carol Hart

Norma Carol Hart, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on May 23, 1945, to her parents, Paul Jefferson Glunt and Mary Emma Davidson Glunt, both of whom have predeceased her. Norma was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Paul Glunt and Danny Glunt.
Norma is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Matthews, and her husband, Robert, who were a constant source of joy in her life. She is also survived by her daughter Denise Wiskur, daughter Dee Dobbs, and Dee's husband, Doy. Norma's presence will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Dylan, Karla, Kyle, Kayla, Autumn, and Chris. Additionally, her great-grandchildren, Cecelia, Harrison, Aidyn, Noah, and Maci, will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Norma's brother, Larry Glunt, mourns her passing alongside the rest of the family.
One of Norma's favorite pastimes was visiting the WinStar casino, where she found excitement and joy at the slot machines. Her passion for gambling was undeniable, and she always had a great time testing her luck. Norma was a dedicated family woman who treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She relished in their company and valued the bonds they shared.
Norma had a fondness for dining out and often enjoyed going out for meals with her family. She delighted in conversing with her relatives and would spend countless hours on the phone, keeping in touch and sharing stories. Norma was an avid fan of NASCAR auto racing and found immense pleasure in following the sport. However, the love of her life was Donald, a man with whom she spent 50 beautiful years. Norma and Donald McGaughey were united in marriage in 1975, and his passing in April 2022 left a void in her heart that could never be filled.
In her leisure time, Norma found great entertainment in watching soap operas, particularly General Hospital. She would eagerly follow the dramatic storylines, allowing herself to be absorbed in the world of daytime television. Norma was also a devoted fan of Judge Judy and Jeopardy, finding intellectual stimulation in the courtroom and challenging trivia questions.
Norma Carol Hart was a remarkable woman who leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her kind spirit, enthusiasm for life, and unwavering devotion to family will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM led by Dee Dobbs. Interment will be at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park immediately following the service.
