Michael Judge Jr., born September 23, 1940, passed away on January 25, 2021.

Mike graduated from Azle in 1959 and went on to serve our Country, joining the Army in 1960. He spent six months on active duty before joining the Reserves, where Mike proudly served for another five and a half years. He worked for National Shirt Shop for twenty-five years and later, went to work for Men’s Wearhouse for seventeen years before retiring at the age of sixty-four. He said he never had any money anyway. Mike enjoyed sports in his high school days and even considered becoming a coach at some point. He loved playing darts and had several trophies to attest to how he perfected his skill. Mike also enjoyed his drag boat racing. He was a devoted family man and wonderful father, Papa, Great Papa (heavy on great, as he’d say), as well as a father figure to many.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Birdie Nell Burnett; daughter, Stacey and husband Chris Arbuckle; son, Erik and wife Donna; granddaughters, Ashleigh Conner and Nakita Ellis; grandsons, Michael Erik, Corbin Young and Cory Judge; great granddaughters, Jayleigh, Avery, and Arrow; great-grandson, Elyseo; brother, Worth Judge; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; as well as great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ila; brother, Mal Ross; sisters, Tommie Jean and Tinnie Jane; and granddaughter, Destiny; Mal Ross and wife Eva,Tinnie Jane and husband Weldon Wood, Sunny Judge( wife of surving brother Worth Judge).
