Michael Ray Ivey, beloved son, brother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2021.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Skyvue Memorial Gardens Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM.
Michael was born on October 22, 1969 in Madisonville, Texas. He grew up in the Pentecostal Church where his faith developed and would stay with him throughout his lifetime. Michael made his career truck driving, but never saw it as a job; he enjoyed every minute he spent behind the wheel. "Choose a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." When Michael wasn't on the road he could be found in front of the TV playing video games or listening to music. In his eyes, Elvis wasn't just the King of Rock & Roll, but the King music in general! Michael enjoyed the company of his family and also of his companion for over thirty years, Melinda. He had a kind heart and will be missed by so many.
Michael was preceded in passing by his sister, Christa Stevens.
He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his children, Amy Ivey and Kyle Ivey; parents, Monty Ivey (Becky Parks) and Margaret Conwell; companion, Melinda Thomas; sisters, Susan Johnson, Julie Walker, and Jennifer Bumgardner; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
