Melba Lee Dart, born on April 28, 1933, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to parents Melvin and Charlsie Caraway, peacefully departed this world on October 5, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy filled with love, faith, and unwavering determination.
Melba was a dedicated mother, raising four children with love and devotion. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she instilled in her family a deep sense of devotion to the Pentecostal church and a profound love for Jesus Christ.
For over six decades, Melba served as a waitress, and it was in this role that she truly thrived. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine care for her customers and coworkers endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She had a unique way of making everyone feel welcome and cherished, turning every meal into a delightful experience.
Known for her strong will and determination, it was often "her way or no way." While this may have been her motto, it was her unwavering spirit that saw her through life's challenges and endeared her to those who knew her best.
Melba's love extended beyond her children, as she adored her grandchildren. Her eyes would light up whenever they were near, and she cherished every moment spent with them, passing down her wisdom and the values that had shaped her life.
Melba Lee Dart leaves behind cherished memories, a legacy of faith, and a warm smile that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, may we find solace in the knowledge that her love and spirit will continue to live on in our hearts.She has been reunited with her parents and son, Larry Dart, in God’s Eternal Kingdom.Melba will be deeply and lovingly missed by her children, Barbara Warren, Sherry Young, and Gary Dart; brother, Delton Caraway; sisters, Linda Hopkins and Ginger Stone; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of endearing friends.
Visitation will be held on October 11th, 2023, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM.
