Mark Dwight Hersom

Mark Hersom of Azle, Texas, 57, went home to be with Jesus on March 29, 2021.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mark was born in Lubbock, Texas on April 23, 1963. He was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, and a loyal friend to many. Family outings, fishing and camping were just a few of his favorite things. Mark was a very generous man who would give the shirt off his back and work his fingers to the bone helping others. Even though Mark suffered for years with lung issues, which resulted in cardiac arrest, he still cared for others until the end. He put others above his own well-being and never worried about the price he would pay. Mark and his sister, Donna, shared a very special bond and he will be greatly missed. 

He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, parents, four brothers, and four sisters. 

Mark will be deeply missed by his sister, Donna Miller (Tim); three nephews, Chris McCaleb (Ashley), Ricky Webb, and Scott Archey; nieces, Mary Williams, Tiffany Scott (Steven) and Casey Archey; numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
