Maria Theresa (Sollinger) Winter

Maria Theresa Sollinger-Winter was called to join her Lord on December 26, 2020 in Azle, Texas.

Maria was born on July 9, 1963 in Calexico, California to Connie Figueroa Sollinger and Joseph Edward Sollinger, becoming the youngest of three daughters. She met the love of her life Robert P. Winter on November 22, 1986. The couple were married on September 5, 1987 in Ventura, California and went on to have a wonderful thirty-three years together. Maria completed Oxnard Beauty College, going on to work as a cosmetologist until she was able to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a mother. On September 11, 1991 in NAS Lemoore, California, her daughter Nicole Rae Winter was born. On January 1, 1994 in Killeen, Texas, her son Timothy James Winter was born. Maria’s pride was her family, and she was overjoyed to be able to dedicate her life to being a loving mother and wife.

All who had the pleasure of meeting Maria knew her as a positive, big-hearted, beautiful, happy loving woman who adored her life. Maria was a passionate proponent in support of Epilepsy Awareness. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her children, watching classic movies, sewing, and caring for the Cardinals and other birds that frequented her home. Everyone who knew Maria will always remember her robust laughter and beautiful smile.

Maria has been reunited with her parents, Connie Figueroa Sollinger and Joseph Edward Sollinger.

Maria will be forever missed by her loving husband, Robert P. Winter; her daughter, Nicole Rae Winter; her son, Timothy James Winter; and her sisters, Gloria Rodriguez and MJ Sollinger

In lieu of flowers, Maria’s family requests that donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in her name.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday January 25, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5953 Bowman Roberts Road, Fort Worth TX 76179.
