Lometa George Obituary

Lometa Faye George

1935 - 2021

Lometa Faye George was born on May 30, 1935 in Denton, Texas to her parents, Don Orval Thomas and Clara Ruth Pritchett-Thomas.  Lometa grew up with her six siblings in a warm and loving home during the midst of the great depression.  Lometa returned home to the loving arms of her Lord on September 16, 2021 in Dallas, Texas.

Lometa was definitely a very unique and truly wonderful person.  She was an intelligent lady, who always had a sense of purpose.  She was raised to know right from wrong and lived her life accordingly.  She raised with her husband, Loyd Wayne George Sr., her three beautiful children.  Lometa was an incredible mom and lived her life for her family.  She was passionate about her Lord and Savior and "Lived" her story every moment of her life.  Lometa dedicated her life to being a full time housewife and mother.  She was the type of person that would go out of her way or sacrifice to help those in need.  She has fed the hungry, housed the homeless and LOVED fiercely!  Lometa loved being outdoors, where she would likely be riding something...whether it be horses or motorcycles!

Lometa is survived by her siblings: Mike Thomas and his long time companion, Jan; and her sisters, Jean Taylor and Donnie Stafford.  She leaves behind her children: Beverly Moore; Darrell George and his wife Pam and Loyd Wayne George Jr.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tammy Sparks and her husband James; Ron Willett and his wife Marla; Josh Moore; Breanda Thibodaux and Stacy Mills along with fourteen Great Gandchildren and five Great Great Grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Lometa was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband and her two sisters, Bobbie Allred and Joyce Godby and her brother, Donald Ray Thomas.

While the family is saddened by the loss of Lometa, they want everyone that knew and loved this terrific lady to celebrate her reunion with those family members that passed before her and her long awaited arrival in her new home. The Eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
