Linda Sue Middleton-Bennett
1944 -2021
Linda Sue Bennett left this world on June 26,2021 to return to her Lord and Savior. Linda was born on December 8, 1944, in Texarkana, Texas, to her parents, Robert L. Middleton and Ruth E. Scott-Middleton. She was raised in a loving household with her two brothers and her sister. Linda attended school at LD Bell High School, where she graduated in 1963. While in high school, she met Allen Gordon Bennett, who she fell in love with, and on August 15, 1964, the high school sweethearts were joined in marriage. Linda and Allen began a family and Linda stayed at home with her children until they were old enough to attend school. Linda then began her professional career for Keller Independent School District, where she eventually became the payroll supervisor for many years. She left the school district to open the first video store in Keller, Texas with her husband Allen and the Meixners. They named the store, Keller Video.
Linda was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. She and her husband were founding members of the WestWind Christian Church. She also served on the board of directors for the Trinity Brazos Area Disciple’s Women. Linda was the type of person that loved to stay busy, she enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, and any type of craft. Linda always put her family first and cherished the time she spent with them.
Linda is reunited with her father, Robert L. Middleton, and her brothers, Don Middleton, and Wayne Middleton in The Kingdom of Heaven.
Linda will be deeply and lovingly missed by her husband, Allen Bennett; mother, Ruth Middleton; son, Scott Bennett and wife, Becky Bennett; daughter, Stephanie and husband, Jimmy Hutchison; sister, Peggy and husband, Gary Benson; grandchildren, Jacob Bennett, Travis Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Ty and wife, Skyler Bennett, Megan and husband, Cody Schollenbarger, Lilly Bennett and Ruthann Hutchison; one great grandchild due in November, Kinsley Grace.
