John Earl-Butch McCaslin, Jr. was born on July 13, 1987, in Fort Worth, Texas, and left this world on September 30, 2023, in West Tawakoni, Texas. He was a dedicated entrepreneur who proudly owned his own landscaping company, shaping the natural beauty of the world around him.

John had an undeniable passion for the great outdoors. His soul found solace in the embrace of nature, and he transformed it into a canvas of vibrant greenery through his work. He would often be found with his hands in the soil, sculpting landscapes with love and care.

In his quiet moments, John reveled in the simple joys of life. He had an ear for music that soothed his spirit and a love for the written word that enriched his soul. His appreciation for literature was as deep as his connection to the earth.

He was preceded in passing by his mother, Karen McCaslin, and his wife, Kelli Sanders.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his father, John McCaslin Sr., his son, Colton, his brothers Miles and Wesley McCaslin, and his sisters Irias Sloas, Stacy Loudermilk, and Eline Lockridge. Additionally, he leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

We invite all who knew and loved John to join us in honoring his life at his funeral on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 2 PM. The service will take place at the Azle Chapel, located on the serene grounds of Azleland Cemetery. Let us come together to celebrate the memory of a man whose love for the outdoors, music, and literature enriched our lives and whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM.
