Jennie Wilmot Obituary

Jennie Katherine Wilmot 1956-2021

Jennie Katherine Wilmot, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2021.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 PM.

Jennie was born on April 5, 1956 in a Military Hospital in Wichita Falls to John Mewborn and and Lucy Reynolds.  She was raised in a military family, causing her to never plant roots in one place.  Instead, every two to three years Jennie’s family would pick up their lives and move wherever the government sent them.  She later married her first husband and was blessed with a beautiful daughter and twin boys.  After having her children, Jennie honorably joined the Army at the age of 31.  Three years into serving our country, she was injured while in Germany leading her to leaving the Army while on disability.  Once out, she moved to San Antonio, Texas.  In 1995, Jennie met the love of her life, James, who had served in the military for twenty-one years.  They later married on August 21, 1996 and moved to Azle, Texas in 2000.  Jennie spent the rest of her days caring for her family.

She is preceded in passing by her father, John Mewborn.

Jennie will be deeply and lovingly missed by her husband, James; daughter, Kathy; twin sons, Jason and Jeremy; her mother, Lucy; two sisters; two brothers; and a host of loving friends.
