Janis Berniece Lane-Stroud
1935 - 2019
Janis Berniece Lane-Stroud was born on July 7, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents Charles Wesley and Luna (Ted) Bernice Navarro-Lane. She grew up in a family that consisted of six brothers and she held a special bond with them that only a sister could have. Janis went to school in Norman, Oklahoma where she graduated from Norman High School. After High School, Janis met and then later married Allie Hutcherson in Fort Worth, Texas where she raised four children. Family meant everything to Janis. She loved and cherished them. She was especially proud to be a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Janis loved spending time with them and often kept them on the weekends with her. She often traveled up to Oklahoma, just so she could spend time visiting her brothers. Janis was a lady of many interests, loves, and talents. She excelled at being a terrific homemaker and loved working with arts and crafts. In the spring and summer, you could often find her outside working in her yard as that was one of her favorite recreations.
Janis is survived by her four children: Steve Hutcherson and his wife Debra; Wayde Hutcherson; Kriss Sparkman and her husband, Pete and Ann Montes and her husband, David. Janis also leaves behind her grandchildren; David Hutcherson, Karen Hutcherson, Amber Burnett, Paige Lewis, Deedee Montes, Nazaketh Montes, Jonathan Montes and Michael Montes. Janis is also survived by her great grandchildren; Austin Burnett, Jack Rogers, Kaleb Hutcherson, Eilijah Montes, Makennzie Ray, Jayden Ray, Kaden Hutcherson and Khloe Hutcherson. Jan is also survived by her brothers, Robert T. Lane and his wife Char and Hewitt Lane.
While the family is greatly saddened by their loss, they wish that everyone would celebrate that Janis has returned to her Lord and Savior and been reunited with her parents, her grandparents, "Mama Cora" and "Daddy Bob" and her brothers, Paul Lane, Jack (Pete) Lane, Steve Lane and Travis Lane in her new home in the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Funeral Service with a reception to follow will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home at 850 N. Cardinal Rd. in Azle, Texas.
