On Friday, June 7th, 2019, Janice “Jan” Louise Gonzalez, beloved wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 69. Jan was born in Rockford, Illinois, on December 5th, 1949 to Patricia and Earl George. A funeral service will be held June 18, 2019 at 2:30 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Jan was the spiritual matriarch of the family, sharing her love of God with her family, instilling the importance of prayer and devotion. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her caregiving spirit shared with her entire family. She was an extraordinary baker and cook, her pot roast and Texas sheet cake were the most requested birthday meals. Jan loved to read, play piano, crochet, sew, spend time with family, attend church and pray.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, Earl Harding George and mother Patricia Helen George and brother, Michael “Mike” Earl George. As well as her grandson Zachary Earl Reynolds and granddaughter Jenny Pankey.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Marco Gonzalez. And her daughter Pam Pankey and husband Jefferey, daughter Angel Swalve, son Rob Swalve and wife Julie, and daughter Debbie Yearwood and husband Josh. As well as 10 grandchildren: Ashley McElyea, Brittany Gregory and husband Austin, Maya Swalve, Braxton Beal,  Kaleigh Reynolds, Robert "Trey" Swalve, Zane Swalve, Justin “Kutter” Beal, Jada Reynolds, and Hayden Swalve. And her two great-grandchildren, Callie Gregory and Cade Gregory. Along with her siblings, Kerry George and wife Lynn, Jeff George and wife Bernadette, her sister-in-law Virginia George and nephews, a niece, a great niece.

Her grandchildren, Ashley McElyea, Brittany Gregory, Austin Gregory, Jada Swalve, Robert "Trey" Swalve Jr III, and Zane Swalve will serve as pallbearers at the funeral at the Dallas-Fort Worth Veterans Cemetery. Her daughter, Pam Pankey will be officiating the service.

Due to regulations at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, we are asking that flowers not be sent directly to the cemetery.
