Harshall Eugene Knight (Gene), 79 of Watauga, TX passed peacefully on February 12th, 2021 in his family home surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will be  held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.  Committal will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park.

Gene was born January 17th, 1942 in Kermit, TX to T.P. and Zelphia Knight. He was the 6th of 7 children. He was a wild and rowdy youth and joined the Marine Corp one day after his 18th birthday in 1960. He served 6 years during the Vietnam war. Upon his return to the United States, he met the love of his life, Josephine Almeda Eversole, and married on February 6th 1967. They settled in DFW and had 3 children, Michele, Billy & Michael and 1 grand daughter turned daughter, Hope. Gene was a hardworking man and made a career as an HVAC technician and installer. He was able to work with both of his sons and pass this trade along to them.

Gene made the best big weekend breakfast, always had the winning poker hand, could fix just about anything, and loved his family above everything else.

He will be so deeply missed.

Gene Knight was preceded in death by his Grandson Dylan Gage Knight, parents and siblings Penny, Betty, Mary, Sandra & Richard.

He is survived by his Wife, Josephine Knight, and Children: Michelle Knight, Billy Knight, spouse Abbie Knight, Michael Knight, Hope Knight, spouse Jacob Risenhoover. Grand-Children: Paige Knight, Mikalah Knight & Thomas Mahana, Great Grand Daughter Evelyn and Brother Leonard Knight and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
