Glenna Watkins Obituary

Glenna Joy Watkins

1940 -2021

Glenna Joy Grant-Chevalier-Watkins left this world to return to her loving Lord and Savior on June 9th, 2021.  Glenna succumbed to lung cancer and passed at her home in Cresson, Texas.  Glenna was born on November 28, 1940 to her mother, Vivian L. Cornford and her biological father, Leon M. Grant in the Dalles, Oregon.  Glenna was later adopted by her dad, Richard I. Chevalier, where she lived with her mom and siblings, Sharon R. Chevalier-McGahee, Elwyn M. Chevalier and Richard M. Chevalier.

Glenna was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.  Glenna was a faithful Christian and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.  She had various jobs over the years and she always took exceptional pride in the work that she did.  Her last profession was as hospital support for Harris Methodist Hospital in Azle, Texas.  Glenna enjoyed her time away from work and loved spending time with her family at gatherings.  Glenna was a very knowledgeable person and she spent a lot of time educating herself by reading.  Glenna loved to read, but she also was avid in sewing and crocheting, where she made the most beautiful afghans.

Glenna is survived by her husband, Gary L. Watkins of Cresson, Texas; her brother, Richard M. Chevalier; her son, Leo O. Ellsworh and his wife, Ka Ann of Thornton, Colorado; her daughter, Janet A. Ellsworth-Skousen and her husband, Neil D. of Orem, Utah; her daughter, Sharon J. Ellsworth-Reinhard and her husband, Jeff of Azle, Texas; her son, Keith G. Ellsworth and his wife Wendy of Boise, Idaho; and her daughter, Monette L. Charroux-Pemberton and her husband, Will of Fort Worth, Texas. Glenna also leaves behind her twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and many, many nephews, nieces and loving friends.

Glenna was proceeded in death by her mother, Vivian L. Cornford, her adopted father, Richard I. Chevalier, her biological father, Leon M. Grant, her sister, Sharon R. Chevalier-McGahee and Elwyn M. Chevalier.

While the family is greatly saddened by their loss of Glenna, they rejoice that Glenna is now re-united with her family that passed before her, in her new home in The Kingdom of Heaven.  Everyone that knew and loved Glenna are invited to attend a celebration of Glenna's life...a life well lived.   The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
