Gerald Sager Obituary

Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Sager, age 66, of Azle, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2020.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on March 20, 2020 at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel.  Don Sneed of Life and Liberty Church will be officiating.  Visitation will be held on March 19, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Azle Chapel.  Burial will follow the funeral at Azleland Cemetery at 1:00 pm.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the family members of Jerry Sager.

Jerry was born in Mount Carmel, Illinois on August 4, 1953.  He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1971 and received his diploma.

Jerry worked as a General Contractor for DSCI for 20+ years, where he retired.  He enjoyed playing softball, making his infamous “Jerry Burgers” out at the motocross tracks and most importantly he enjoyed making memories with his family and friends.  Jerry was always willing to go the extra mile to help others, he was extremely supportive, encouraging, and loved to share his wisdom.

Jerry is survived by his grandchildren: Ryan Neff, Abby Sager, Jaden Neff, Gage Sager and Madeline Taylor.  His sisters: Joyce Newkirk and Jane Voigt.  His children: Michelle Neff, Jason Sager, Casey Taylor and Frank Taylor. Jerry is also survived by his first wife Pam Peach-Mason of 18 years and Vickie Sager of 14 years.

He is preceded in death by Gerald Ray Sager, Bonnie Lucille Banks-Sager and Jason Wayne Sager.

A public Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery at 850 N. Cardinal Rd.  Azle, Texas.

A second Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 from Noon until 1 PM at the Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home. 

The Funeral Service for Jerry will begin at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Following the Funeral Service, there will be a Graveside Committal held outside at Azleland Cemetery.

Everyone that knew and loved Jerry is invited to attend and celebrate the life of this great man and friend to all.
