Elva Lynn Knowles

Elva Lynn Knowles, 83 years old, of Fort Worth, TX, gained her wings on October 5, 2020.

Elva was born on February 23, 1937 to Elton McCormick and Docia Ritter McCormick in Rodgers, TX. After graduating from high school, she moved to Dodge City, KS where she met her soulmate, Edwin D Knowles, whom she later married. They decided to move to Arnett, OK to start a family. Elva gave birth to four beautiful children, Cecilia Ann, Kevin, Jason, and Clifford.

After the birth of Cecilia, Elva chose to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Whether she was supporting Edwin and her children through difficulty, or supporting them through life's joyful moments, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Elva loved her grandchildren more than anything. Her favorite flowers were yellow roses. She loved watching old movies with her family, and was very fond of country music, especially Hank Williams Sr., Cowboy Copas, and Marty Robbins. After moving to the big city, Elva always said she missed the small-town life while raising her kids.

Elva was preceded in death by her husband Edwin D. Knowles, daughter Cecilia Ann Brantley, along with sister and brother Phyllis and Bobby.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Knowles, Jason & Michelle Knowles, Clifford & Kim Knowles; grandchildren, Chris, Mark, Jacob, Joshua, Sarah, Forrest, and Bobby; her sister, Vickie Maserang; son-in-law, Randy Brantley; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Azleland Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service on October 16,2020 at 1pm at Azleland Funeral home (850 N Cardinal Rd,Azle,TX,76020).
