In loving memory of our beloved Grandaddy, it is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a truly remarkable man. As Granny used to say, they truly broke the mold when they created him. It is still difficult to comprehend that he is no longer with us, and even more so to grasp the fact that Granny allowed us to keep him for over two years. For those who knew our Granny, patience was not her strong suit, which makes the time we had with Grandaddy all the more precious.
Over the past two and a half years, we were gifted with an abundance of stories and family history that Grandaddy generously shared with us. These memories will forever be cherished and serve as a testament to the incredible bond we shared. It feels only fitting to acknowledge that everything now feels as it should be, with Granny and Grandad reunited once again.
Grandad was not only my hero but also the wisest man I have ever known. Unlike many of his generation, he possessed an open mind and eagerly listened to all perspectives. His fairness, honesty, and strong work ethic were qualities that defined him. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives for 93 remarkable years, and his absence will be deeply felt.
The lessons and values he imparted upon us will forever remain ingrained in our hearts. Grandaddy's teachings will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to guide us through life's journey. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the incredible impact he had on each and every one of us. Rest in peace, dear Grandaddy, knowing that your memory will forever be cherished.
