Gilbert Daniel Bowling Jr., beloved husband, PaPaw and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2021.

Although saddened, the family wishes to invite you to a Viewing at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM.  Private interment will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park.

Danny was born on June 19, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to Gilbert and Cecilia Bowling.  He married the love of his life, Darla Lackey, and together raised four beautiful children.  Danny loved working with his hand whether he was doing masonry work or mechanical work, especially on his beloved truck.  He took pride in his job as a pool technician and it showed through his work; he never had a customer that didn't love him.  Classic Cars fascinated him but so did all things NASCAR.  He could be described as a “Jack of all trades,” never shying from any task.  Danny found comfort in music, but more so in small talk with his family and friends.  He was quite the jokester and was constantly finding new pranks to play on his children.  Above all, Danny was the definition of a true family man and cherished the time he spent with them.

Danny joins his father, Gilbert Bowling Sr., in God’s Eternal Kingdom.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his true love, Darla Bowling; children, Kimberly Kay Gregory “Jill,” Christopher and Kylene Gregory, Jeffrey and Cassey Gregory, and Marvin “Buddy” and Krystal Gregory the 4th; mother, Cecilia R. Bowling; sisters, Vickie Collum and Susan Hayes; grandchildren, Cheyenne Renee Robinson, Bradley Daniel Gregory Sugg, Alissa Alline Larger, Brayden Tyler Gregory, Brandon Michael Gregory, Jonathan Lee Gregory, Brighton Alexander Gregory, Ashleigh KayAnn Gregory, and Sophia Ranette Gregory; and a host of extended family and friends.
