Carol Jeannette Huffman-Johnson-Hurst

1946 - 2019

Carol Jeannette Hurst was born into this world on December 21, 1946 in Tarrant County, Texas to her parents Frank William Huffman and Dorothy Feunella Bennett-Huffman.  Carol went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2019 at her home in Weatherford, Texas.

Carol was a very loving and caring person.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Carol truly enjoyed cooking for her family at the holidays and gatherings,  passing on her family recipes to her younger generations, as this gave her so much happiness and joy. 

Carol was an avid horse person.  Horses were a vital part of Carol's life when she was younger and they remained a constant love throughout the rest of her life.  Carol was an active member of the National Association of Sheriff Posse Riding Club for more than twenty-five years and enjoyed her various roles in the NARC-SP for her entire life.  

Carol enjoyed cooking and baking so much that she made a career out of it.  She worked at Wal-Mart in the bakery department for many years where she was truly loved by the people she served, as well as her fellow Wal-Mart  family of employees.

Carol leaves behind her son, Darrell Johnson Jr. and his wife Jackie of Springtown, Texas; and her daughter, Kim Eisen and her companion Mark Oates also of Springtown, Texas.  Carol is survived by her sisters, Judy Goodwin, Margaret  Cates and her husband John and Paula Huffman.  Carol will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and their spouses; Maranda and Patrick Gates, Johnathan and Sarah Johnson and Sarah and Tanner Garrett.  Carol will forever be cherished by her great-grandchildren; Mackenzie, Maddilyn and Conner Johnson and Hagen and Paisley Garrett.  Carol will also be greatly missed by her former husbands Darrell Johnson Sr. and Charles Hurst.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dorothy Huffman and her brother Charlie Huffman, all of Poolville, Texas.

While the family is greatly saddened by Carol's death, they celebrate and rejoice that she is now re-united with her parents, her brother and her Savior in her new eternal home in The Kingdom of Heaven.

Funeral services for Carol Hurst will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Azle Funeral Chapel at 850 N. Cardinal Rd in Azle, Texas.
