Carl Dodge Obituary

Carl Dodge

1942 - 2023

Carl Dennis Dodge, age 80, was born on September 11, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to parents Carl Edward and Lavelle Ruth Dodge and went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023.

Carl married his wife Vicki of over 50 years in Redondo Beach, California. Their marriage was eventful; they raised three daughters, Lara, Heather, and Carla. He and his family have all lived in Texas since 1988 and had been in the Philippines for 3 years before Carl completed his last tour of duty at Carswell Air Force Base, now the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas.

Carl retired from the United States Air Force in 1991 after 26 years as a surgical technician which he loved. This provided him the opportunity to serve his country and many patients while he was on active duty and after retiring from military service. He was an honorable man who loved his Lord, his family, and his country.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carl's loving honor to The Michael J Fox Foundation.

Carl is survived by his wife Vicki of Fort Worth, Texas, daughters Lara Tedder and husband Ken of Bridgeport, Texas, Heather Dodge of Fort Worth, Carla Barber and husband Shawn of Benbrook, Texas, 5 grandchildren Rusty, Travis, Austin, Chasity, and Evan, sister Joyce, brother Wayne, cousins Kay, Danny, Sherry, and several nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl Edward Dodge, mother Lavelle Ruth Dodge, sisters Jessie and Alene, and brothers Bill and David.
