Brett McDonald Obituary

Brett W. McDonald, 61, of Saginaw passed away on June 4, 2020 in Dallas, Texas of complications of cancer.

A service will be held at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 10:00 am.

Brett W. McDonald was born on August 1, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Wesley Russell and Norma Nell McDonald.  He moved to Massachusetts very early in life.  At the age of 18, he and a friend decided to hitchhike to Texas where he has resided since.  Brett worked many jobs throughout his early life before getting hired on at General Motors where he retired from as a Union Representative.  He was a very caring man and great to be around.  He kept his personal life private, but always had a fun and positive outlook.  Brett had many hobbies, but his favorite was flying airplanes.  He finished his private pilot ground school in May of 2011 then took flying lessons where he flew several aircrafts. Brett loved life and was always happy and positive.  He made a good impression on everyone, which led him to have many friends throughout his life.  Brett will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will always leave a smile on those who remember him best. 

Brett was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Russell and Norma McDonald.

Survivors include his two sisters, Dana McDonald- Fels and Amanda McDonald- Tomayo; daughter, Brittany Nicole McDonald; granddaughter, Paisley Morgan; and others as well as many friends.
