Billie Fenter Obituary

Billie Jean Porter Fenter, 89, of Fort Worth, Texas passed from this life on January 31, 2021. Born  January 16, 1932 to William and Inez Porter in Olney, Texas, Billie grew up a hard worker and skilled  homemaker. She married Eugene M. Fenter. Together they raised three sons: Terry, Larry, and Randy.

A woman of many talents, over the years Billie worked as a credit analyst, bookkeeper and child care  provider. She was employed at Sears, National Linen Service, Share International, and PVI in Fort Worth.  Billie was generous with her time and gifts. She loved music. A skilled seamstress, Billie made countless  handcrafted items for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret; brother, Leo; daughters-in-law, Kay and Gail. She is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years; son, Terry, and his wife, Belinda; son, Larry; son,  Randy, and his wife, Karen; granddaughter, Sheri Fenter; grandson, Michael Fenter; granddaughter,  Marta Dugan, and her husband, Kyle; granddaughter, Rachel Crawford, and her husband, Adam; and  seven great-grandchildren.

Billie Fenter was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by family and friends who will miss her. We rejoice, however, knowing that she is in the presence of the loving God she served  so faithfully and well. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and had for several years  attended services at Western Hills.

A private graveside service will be held for only the immediate family, due to the COVID-19 epidemic.  Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family requests no flowers, preferring  donations to the food bank or your favorite charity instead.
