Bill Williams
July 30, 1948 - December 31, 2020
Bill Williams, 72, of Roanoke, TX, went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 31, 2020 at Medical City Dallas. He passed from complications of the Covid19 virus.
He was born in Alameda, California on July 30, 1948. His parents were Fred & Frances Will. Bill graduated from Red Bluff Union High School in California and then joined the US Navy after graduation on July 30, 1965. He served our Country honorably during the Vietnam War and was stationed on the USS Twining out of Bainbridge, Maryland. Bill was honorably discharged on July 29, 1971 with Navy Training Courses for Seamen, Firemen, Petty Officer Training and Electrician’s School. After his military career, Bill moved to Salt Lake City, UT working as an Electrician.
Bill met the love of his life, Joy Annette Mathews, and on September 23,1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada the two were married. He worked in his early career as an electrician and then entered the Security, Fire Protection and Mass Notification business in 1986 when he relocated to the DFW Metroplex. During his 34 years in the business, Bill gained many friends and gained the respect of colleagues throughout the industry in his career leaving as a Business Development Manager. He will be greatly missed in his professional life. Bill was an avid water skier and loved to be around family and friends, lending a helping hand whenever called upon.
Bill will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Joy A Williams; sons, Christopher Pratt and wife Jenny Pratt and Justin Pratt and wife Danielle Pratt; grandchildren, Christian Pratt (Juli), Madison Pratt, Joshua Pratt, Katelin Pratt, Dillan Pratt, Chantell Ferrin, Ashley Seawright, Ksenia Riddle and Kristina Riddle; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of family, neighbors and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Met Church on Thursday, January 7, 2021, located at 11301 North Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76244 at 11:00 AM. Family will have private visitation before the service. Bill will be laid to final rest at the DFW National Cemetery with full Military burial services.
