In loving memory of our Momma, Betty Jo “Sissy” Johnson

Betty Jo Johnson, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 9, 2023, in Springtown, Texas, at the age of 75. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Betty was a dedicated and loving mother to her seven children:

Terri West (Charles), Michael Johnson (Teresa), Tabitha Landry, Nina Johnson, James Meldrum (Marla), Dana Bridges (Dwayne) , and Amber Corbin (Louie). Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and her nurturing spirit and unwavering support created a strong and loving family bond. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, embracing friends and everyone she met.

Betty’s journey through life was marked by both joys and challenges. She faced each obstacle with determination and a resilient spirit that inspired those around her. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald Corbin, whose memory she carried with her through every chapter of her life.

Betty also mourned the loss of her daughter, Tabitha Renee Landry, and her beloved grandsons Justin Keith Landry, Gage Andrew Bridges, and her great grand daughter Kaylie Michelle Wright

Betty Jo Johnson was a grandmother to numerous other grandchildren, and great grand children each of whom felt the warmth of her love and the strength of her presence.

She also leaves behind her dear brothers, Gary Huffman and Charles Huffman. Their bond was a testament to the importance of family in Betty’s life.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Where there will be fried pickles, catfish and Diet Coke galore to celebrate the life of our amazing momma!
