Alynne Laurel (Laura) King
1941-2023
Laura King, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, touched the lives
of many. Born on February 3, 1941, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey to Leonard and
Alice Van Arsdale, lived a life that will forever leave an impact on those who knew
her.
Laura touched the lives of those around her with her caring nature and ability to bring
comfort to others. As a home health aide, she lived out her passion for tending to
others, making her a true caretaker in every sense.
Laura was the last surviving sibling from a family of 14. Alongside her siblings and her
parents, she was reunited in death with her first husband, Ken Schimmelbusch, her
second husband, William King, and her son-in-law, Wesley Coleman. Her enduring
legacy is carried forward by her five children: Laurie Coleman of Sierra Vista, Arizona;
Sharon Grissom and her husband Randall of Weatherford; Ken Schimmelbusch and his
wife Kymra of Weatherford; William King of Weatherford; and Ronald King of
Weatherford. She also leaves behind a legacy in her eight grandchildren, fourteen
great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family
members.
During this time of grief, let us celebrate a life well lived, a life that touched so many,
and a spirit that will forever be a guiding light in our lives. Laura may have departed this
world, but the love she shared will remain forever in our hearts.
