IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Daniel
Seay
August 14, 1948 – January 12, 2022
Thomas Daniel "Danny" Seay
1948 - 2022
Thomas Daniel Seay who always went by Danny was born August 14,1948 in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents June Daniel Seay and Mary Jo Fant-Seay. Danny left this world unexpectedly on January, 12 2022 at his home in Newark, Texas to return to his Lord and Savior and be reunited with those loved ones that passed on before him.
Danny proudly served as a USMC Sergeant during The Vietnam War from 1967-1970. Danny received three Purple Hearts and a number of honors and citations. He loved his country and was proud to have served.
Danny never met a stranger. He was a friendly and loving person who was generous with his time and the friendships he made. Of all the friendships made over a lifetime, Danny was the type of person to stay in touch and keep up with his friends. Many were lifelong friends, and he took the necessary time to make sure those friendships and bonds were lasting by doing whatever was necessary for those friends. He never let them down or for that matter anyone who was ever dependent on Danny. He retired from The United States Post Office.
He loved animals of all kinds, but he was especially fond of his cattle. Over the years he raised pigs, cows, chickens and rabbits.
The only thing he enjoyed more than his animals was being a Pawpaw and spending time with his Grandson Lukas. They enjoyed watching the cows, shooting guns togethers, fishing and Lukas driving Pawpaw around their hay field.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Elisha Leonard and her husband, Ronnie of Alvarado; his grandson, who he called "Little Big Man" Lukas Leonard; three brothers: Jimmy, Mike and Dwayne Seay and numerous nieces & nephews and many friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Vinson; his stepfather, Buddy Vinson and his father, June Daniel Seay.
"You never said I'm leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home." Author Unknown.
