Theresa D. Parr

Theresa Doreen Parr, 79, of Lakeside, Texas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 20, 2023.  Theresa was born in Chelmsford, Essex, England to Michael and Rose Shanahan. Theresa was a stay-at-home mother while her children were growing up. She lovingly devoted her time and efforts to being the best homemaker that she could possibly be to her husband, William and her children, Steven, Amanda, Anthony and Karen.  Nurturing her family meant everything to Theresa.

When Theresa joined the workforce, she chose a career where she could help nurture others.  She worked as a nurse, providing home-health care for families in the Fort Worth area.  She was much-loved and appreciated by each client and their families. In retirement, in addition to caring for her beloved grandchildren, Theresa enjoyed making many friends and meeting new people at the markets and antique malls.

Mrs. Parr was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Parr, and her husband, William Parr whom she met in England while he was stationed at Lakenheath Air Force Base.
Theresa is survived by her mum, Rose Shanahan of England; her three children, Steven Parr, Amanda Smith and her husband Cole Smith and Anthony Parr and his wife, Michelle Parr; her seven grandchildren, Cassi Cheney, Andrew Parr, Angela Parr, Brittany LeFan, Brooke Joyner, Henry Parr, Julia Parr and her three great-grandchildren, Rylan Park, Chloe Park, and Elijah Mehl.
Theresa is also survived by her sister, Margaret Donald and her husband, Peter Donald of Galleywood, Essex, England and many other beloved family members in England.

While the family is greatly saddened by the loss of this wonderful and beautiful person, they wish that everyone that knew and loved Theresa to come and celebrate her life (a life well lived) on Friday, January 27th at 2:00 PM at the Azle Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery.
