Steven "Steve" Allen Courtney Sr.

1959 - 2021

Steven Courtney, 61, passed away Friday, August 6,2021, surrounded by his loving wife, mother, and children.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 PM.

Steve was born on December 1, 1959 in Waco, Texas to George Courtney and Rosiland Thompson.  Steve was a great friend who enjoyed bringing joy and laughs to all those around him.  He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and swimming.  Steve could spend hours fishing but it meant so much more when he was able to spend those priceless hours with his son by his side.  He had a sweet tooth, but his daughter-in-law's homemade biscuits were always one of his favorite pleasures.  Above all, Steve cherished the time he got to spend with his family and the many years he got to spend with the love of his life, Debbie.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, his dad; his brother; and his step-father.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Debbie Courtney; son, Steven and wife, April; daughter, Kristi all of Fort Worth; 6 grandchildren, Jesse, Damion, Daniella, Nicholas, Cristopher and his boss baby, Bella; his mom, Rosiland Wilkins; many siblings, Joe and wife Terri, Jason and wife Logan, and Jesse and wife Julie all of Waco; his aunt, BJ; many step-siblings, step-mom, cousins, many nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends who he considered family.
