Stephen Leslie Roof Sr.

1953 - 2021

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 beginning at 2:00PM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home.

Stephen Leslie Roof Sr. passed away on October 2, 2021.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Roof; brothers, Butch Roof and Howard Roof; and sisters, Rhonda Roof and Trish Langford.
Stephen will be deeply and lovingly missed by his girlfriend, Kayli Farris; brothers, Ronnie Reese, Doug Roof, Jim Roof, Mike Roof and Tony Roof; his children, Stephen Roof Jr and Marky Thomas, Mike and Trinia Allen, and John and Denise Dowden; 8 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Stephen graduated from Azle High School before proudly serving his country in the Army from 1972 to 1975 where he was honorably discharged .  He was a communications specialist.
He worked as an automotive transmission specialist for many years where he later retired from.  Stephen was an avid collector of antiques and baseball cards. He loved watching old westerns and the Three Stooges. Stephen loved old cars and trucks and loved working on them; he was a awesome mechanic and could fix anything! He loved music like Doug Stone and Keith Whitley
Stephen was always singing his own song and had a beautiful voice. He was always helpful when someone was in need and had quite a way with the ladies. He was a true family man who loved his kids , grandkids and great grandkids. They were his pride and joy.
Stephen will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
