Sherry Lee Elder Angeles peacefully passed away on May 9, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure marked the end of a life richly lived and the beginning of a cherished memory that will forever be held close by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born on January 27, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, Sherry was the beloved daughter of William and Betty Elder. She grew up in the vibrant community of Fort Worth, where she attended Northside High School and distinguished herself as a spirited cheerleader. Sherry's insatiable thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, earning a bachelor's degree from Northwood University and a master's degree from TCU.

In 1972, fate intervened when she crossed paths with the love of her life, Joe Angeles. Their meeting, a serendipitous encounter in a Denver bar, blossomed into a love story that spanned over four decades until Joe's passing in 2020. Their connection was immediate, born from their shared roots in Fort Worth, and their love only grew stronger with time.

Sherry's devotion to her family knew no bounds. She was a pillar of strength and unwavering support for her son Todd, her daughter Teresa Jestene, and her granddaughter Gabriella Jestene, They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, showering them with love, guidance, and encouragement. Sherry took immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrating each milestone with boundless joy and admiration.

Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she poured her love into every meal she prepared. Her lasagna, a labor of love perfected over the years, brought comfort and warmth to her family's table, while her oatmeal cookies were a beloved treat for her daughter and granddaughter. But it was not just the food that nourished their souls; it was the love and laughter shared around the table that truly mattered.

Sherry's faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her with unwavering strength and conviction. Her love for her Lord was evident in every aspect of her being, and she found solace in the teachings of the Bible. Even in her final days, she spoke of her anticipation of the rapture with unwavering faith and hope.

Sherry's legacy of love and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family members: her son Todd, Lee Angeles, and his spouse Candace; her daughter Teresa Jestene Angeles; her granddaughter Gabriella Jestene Angeles; her mother Betty Stout; her sister Barbara Vanhaagen; and extended family and friends.

Sherry's funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10 AM at the funeral home at Azleland Cemetery. All who knew and loved Sherry are invited to celebrate her remarkable life and bid farewell to a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit will continue to inspire for generations to come.
