In Loving Memory of Scotty S. Denny

1986 - 2025

With hearts heavy yet grateful for a life so full of love, joy, and unshakable spirit, we remember and celebrate the life of Scotty S. Denny, who passed away on April 10, 2025, in North Richland Hills, Texas. Born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas, Scotty was a radiant soul whose presence was as bright and warming as the Texas sun. A lifelong resident of the Lone Star State, he carried the proud heart of a Texan in all he did—resilient, warm, loyal, and full of charm.

Scotty was the beloved only child of Nita Louise Alexander-Denny, his cherished "Mama," the woman who was his world and the unwavering center of his heart. Their bond was deep, beautiful, and sacred—a mother and son tethered by a love that surpassed this life. Scotty often said, and showed in countless ways, that being his mama's son was his greatest pride and honor. He adored her, leaned on her, cared for her, and protected her with the same fierce love she gave to him.

A proud student of the Birdville school system, Scotty touched many lives with his kind nature and infectious joy. He was a member of Riverside Church of God, where he nurtured his love for the Lord. Scotty's faith was sincere and childlike in the most sacred way—pure, unwavering, and full of trust. He loved God with a joyful heart, and his spirit was a testimony to divine love in its most innocent and generous form.

Scotty was a man of simple, heartfelt pleasures. He had a deep appreciation for life's small joys. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the Food Network—not just for the delicious dishes but for the stories, the colors, and the comforting rhythm of kitchens coming to life. He was captivated by creativity in all its forms, whether it came in the shape of a well-seasoned meal, a beautifully finished wooden puzzle, or a freshly colored page. Scotty loved to color, letting his imagination spill into every hue, every stroke, every cheerful blend. He found peace and purpose in those quiet, creative moments.

The outdoors called to Scotty like an old friend. He loved to be outside, whether it was feeling the breeze on his face, basking under the open sky, or walking hand-in-hand with his mama. But his truest love was for the water. Scotty was at home in the pool, in lakes, near sprinklers or fountains—wherever water shimmered and danced, he found freedom. He loved to swim, loved the way the water made him feel, light and unburdened, like he was soaring. The water reflected the joy in his soul.

Scotty's spirit shined through his cute, beautiful smile—a smile that could melt even the coldest heart. He loved his smile, and rightly so; it was a mirror of his soul: pure, joyful, and full of wonder. It was the kind of smile that lit up rooms, lifted hearts, and lingered in memory.

Scotty leaves behind a legacy of love, innocence, and pure-hearted joy. He is survived by his devoted and heartbroken mother, Nita Louise Alexander; his beloved aunt, Virginia Kemp; and a large circle of friends, caregivers, and extended family who were blessed to know and love him. Each of them carries the imprint of his smile, his laughter, and the special way he made everyone feel like they mattered.

Scotty's life will be honored in a graveside service on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Azleland Cemetery. There, among the peaceful trees and open skies, we will lay to rest a soul so bright and so rare—yet whose spirit will never be far from those he loved. Though we mourn his absence, we also celebrate a life that, though brief, was immeasurably rich in love, joy, and purpose.

Fly high, Scotty. Splash freely in Heaven's waters. Color the skies with your light. And keep smiling that beautiful smile.

You will be missed more than words can say.
