In Loving Memory of Samuel Wayne Flaherty

2002 - 2024

Samuel Wayne Flaherty was the beloved youngest child of his family.  He looked up to his older brother Hudson and his sister Hannah.

Samuel grew up worshiping the Lord at Westworth Church of Christ.  He was taught the scriptures and placed his faith in the Lord Jesus.  Nurtured by his church family, he sealed his commitment to the Lord through baptism at the tender age of 8.

Throughout his homeschooling years, Samuel made lifelong friends at the co-op his family attended.  He became a talented pianist, drummer, artist, and dirtbiker, later adding guitar, weightlifting, fishing, hunting and leading worship songs at church.  He especially enjoyed the challenge of repairing his own vehicles, taking spontaneous trips with friends, cooking, and his routine spades game with his "pardner" Papaw.

Samuel wanted to be a grown man sooner than most. He gladly took on responsibilities and desired to get on with life, and to be independent. He was given the opportunity to work in the aviation manufacturing support industry and attained Dept.of Defense security clearance. His work with AIT carried him across the nation, making great friends at every stop.

Above all, Samuel was characterized by his integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his promises. He lived life to the fullest, embracing challenges with determination and grace. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and faith will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

Samuel Wayne Flaherty will be deeply missed by his parents, Brian and Susan Flaherty; siblings, Hudson Flaherty and Hannah Flaherty; grandfather, Wayne Kreger; uncles, Eric, Chris and Tom; aunts, Christi, Michelle, and Kathy; cousins, James, Abbey, Christopher, Aidan, Hunter, Reed, and Garrett; and numerous friends who became family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Westworth Church of Christ, 5728 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX, beginning at 11:00 AM

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park beginning at 9:00 AM.
