Ronald Lee Akin, 77, passed away on November 15, 2021, in Bridgeport, Tx.
Ronnie was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Howard Akin and Grace Akin on January 24, 1944.
He attended Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Carolyn McCaslin on March 7, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas. Ronnie worked for Merchants Fast Motor Lines as a truck driver for twenty-seven years and later retired from Yellow Freight after fifteen years of service. Ronnie loved riding horses and motorcycles, Ronnie was a wonderful coach for football, baseball, and softball for several years. He also was a member of the North American hunting club, but what he enjoyed more than anything was spending time with his family.
Ronnie is reunited with parents, Howard Akin and Grace Akin; daughter Lisa Carole; great-grandson, Anthony Steel and sister Jane Gazaway.
Ronnie will forever be in the hearts of his wife. Carolyn Akin; sons, Ronnie Akin wife Paula Akin, Michael Akin wife Tammy Akin; daughter Chandra Akin husband Roger Thayer; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard Akin and Weldon Akin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
