Roger Lynn Jackson

1944 - 2023

Roger Lynn Jackson was born May 16, 1944 in Alvarado, TX to Fay and Roy Jackson. He passed from this life to the next on February 1, 2023 in Azle, TX at the age of 78.
He started school at Alvarado until the family moved to their farm in Rhome, TX. Roger attended Boyd and graduated from Boyd High School in 1962. He was well liked with many friends. His class selected him as Most Polite and Class Favorite in high school. He loved music, fishing and being with his family. Roger proudly served his country in The United States Army from 1965-1967, reaching the rank of Sergeant. His overseas tour was in South Korea.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, various aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-nephew.
He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his son, Russell Jackson of Azle; daughter, Jennifer Paule and husband, Will of Azle, Texas; grandson, Nathan Henderson; sister, Pamalee Hodges and husband, Calvin of Azle, Texas; nephew, Kyle Jackson of Denton, Texas; brother, Eddie Jackson and wife, Mendie of Azle, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousin, and his ex-wife, Sara Martin of Azle, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 17, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM.
