In Loving Memory of Robert Ray Sherman

1963 - 2024

Robert Ray Sherman, aged 61, passed away on August 25, 2024, in Denton, TX, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on May 16, 1963, in Fort Worth, TX, Robert was the cherished son of Linda and William "Bill" Sherman. A proud graduate of Springtown High School's class of 1981, he carried his passion for sports throughout his life.

Robert's love for golf and basketball defined much of his personal and professional life. He was not only an enthusiastic player but also dedicated a significant part of his life as a referee, contributing to the sports he loved so dearly.

As a devoted father, beloved uncle, and wonderful grandfather, Robert's legacy is one of profound love and care. He is survived by his sisters, Laura Sherman and Crystal Zamora; his three children, Jonathan Sherman, Holly Ng, and Haily Marshall; and his niece, Lindsay LaRosa. He also leaves behind his nephews, Matthew Hunt and KC Andrews, and took pride in being a grandfather to four grandchildren: Colt and Remington Sherman, Camden Ng, and Kase Marshall.

A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on September 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Assembly of God, located at 2998 HWY 59, Bowie, TX.
